With the renovations complete at Kew East, it's very exciting to have a cooking classes up and running.
Held in our Kitchen (11 Strathablyn Street, Kew East) our aim is to hold informative and fun classes for participants; to deepen and expand their knowledge and appreciation for chocolate and to teach techniques, that they will be able to apply at home.
The small class sizes allow for individual attention, as well as one-on-one interaction between students and our Chocolatiers, Father-daughter team, Christos and Tina. With the classes being hands on, each participant will get to leave with their creations!
Currently, we are holding 3 classes:
Appreciation, Tempering & Ganache
A three hour class based on all things chocolate. Father-daughter team, Christos and Tina, will teach chocolate appreciation, bean to bar. Then moving into technique, the hands on class will include tempering and making a ganache. You will be able to finish your chocolates to then take home.
A three hour class focusing on the applications of cocoa products to create a healthier product with many benefits.
Beginning with an open discussion on the health benefits of cocoa run by Tina Partsioglou, a nutritionist and chocolatier, the class will then move into producing a range of different cocoa truffles andchocolate bars that fall in line with the paleo and raw chocolate theories. These treats will be all yours at the end of the class. Perfect for the health conscious with a sweet tooth!
Pralines & Ganaches
A hands on class where you will be the chocolatier. Father-daughter team, Christos and Tina, will guide you so you can create your very own chocolate pralines and ganaches, both in moulded and enrobed form. All chocolates made are for you to take home. This full day course includes lunch.
